Understand risk assessments and their
importance in relation to health and safety
We must have good knowledge and skills about various health and safety issues, before addressing health and safety risks. If we do not have knowledge and information about various health and safety issues, then we would not be able to identify risks, let alone to address it. Therefore, we must have appropriate training and skills.

We have to assess the severity of
potential health and safety risks after it has been identified. We also have to
identify group of people or users who will be potentially affected. Then we
have to determine control measures according to severity of potential risks on
group of people and users. After we determine right control measures then we
can put it in place to eliminate risks.
